What Morag is Reading

What Morag is reading, available at The Chorleywood BookshopWhite Tiger by Aravind Adiga. Fascinating read. Written as series of letters explaining India to a visiting dignitary from China. I am compiling my list for holidays. It includes The Junior Officers Reading Club by Patrick Hennessey. He came to Chorleywood on June 30 and his talk was compelling. Those of us who were there know we were in the presence of someone who everyone will know in a few years time. A young man going places. The book is about his time in the Army in Iraq and Afghanistan. He has written it to bridge the gap in understanding between what the British people think happens and what happens. The questions he posed are real ones about funding and what we think the Army should be doing. I'll write more when I have completed the book.
